• Of the sanctioned intake in a specialization 70% seats are called CATEGORY - A seats and remaining 30% seats are bifurcated into NRI & Non-NRI(Category-B) seats..
• The Convener of EAMCET admits CATEGORY - A seats on merit secured in Intermediate or an equivalent examination and the rank secured in EAMCET.
• As per GO MS 74 by Government of Andhra Pradesh, 70% of seats to be filled under Category-A as per the reservation policy and the remaining 30% seats are Category-B seats.
• 15% of Category-A seats in each course shall be reserved for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and 6% of Category-A seats shall be reserved for the candidates belonging to the scheduled Tribes.
• The seats reserved for scheduled Tribes shall be made available to scheduled Castes and Vice-versa, if qualified candidates are not available in the category.
• If qualified candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes communitiesare not available the left over seats reserved for them shall be treated as unreserved seatsand shall be filled by the candidates of General pool.
• 29% of Category-A seats shall be reserved for the candidates belonging to the Backward classes.
• If qualified candidates belonging to Backward classes are not available to fill up the 29% seats reserved for them, the left over seats shall be treated as unreserved and shall be filled up with candidates of General pool.
• Admission to CATEGORY - B seats are done by the college management following the guidelines of Government of Andhra Pradesh (APSCHE).
• The minimum qualification prescribed for admission under NRI Category management quota not to exceeding 15% of sanctioned intake in each course for the academic year who has passed the qualifying examination with not less than 50% marks in the prescribed grouped subjects or 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination or cumulative grade point average (CGPA) equivalent to 5 on a scale of 10.
• The Non-NRI (Category-B) seats shall be filled on merit basis with candidates including from other states and union territories who have secured rank at JEE(Mains)/APEAPCET and secured  not less than 45% of marks in the prescribed grouped subjects marks  the qualifying examination.
• The Convener of ECET admits 10% of the candidates from the stream of Diploma Holders should pass in diploma fromAndhra Pradesh State Government or an equivalent examination.
